Revello Carlo e Figli

The story of Carlo Revello and his family is one of incremental steps and a constant search for identity and balance. Beginning with the separation from Fratelli Revello of Annunziata di la Morra, the story continued in the initial few years thanks to the ‘dowry’ wines received as part of the separation. From 2016 came the first independent vinifications using their own vineyards and grapes, particularly Rocche dell’Annunziata and Giachini (the latter returning to production with the 2017 vintage).
This second phase of the winery’s development was marked by the decision to renounce the roto-macerators, focusing instead on the judicious use of wood and a growing concern with freshness, particularly from 2020. This was also thanks to the increasingly decisive contribution of his son, Erik.
While this stylistic re-adjustment may sacrifice a little structure, on the other hand it guarantees both approachability and personality. Without a shadow of doubt, this is a name to keep in mind for future vintages.

• The regular Barolo is a blend derived from the MGAs Annunziata, Bricco Manescotto, Lirano, and Manocino (the last two entered the blend starting with the 2019 vintage).
• Barolo RG was named after the initials of the MGAs from which the grapes were sourced in the first vintages (Rocche dell’Annunziata and Giachini), while the 2016 vintage (the last produced) was a blend of the Boiolo and Giachini MGAs.
